From 2006 to 2009 I worked with a professor at Pomona on the dynamics of viscous filaments, which are extremely thin strands of a very viscous silicon oil. Continuing work done by a previous student at the college, I've been able to achieve video and still images of vertical strands and horizontal catenaries.
